The 2025 acoustic catalogue documents Class D, αw 0.45, NRC 0.60, SAA 0.58, absorption from 200–1000 Hz and diffusion from 400–3150 Hz. The catalogue drawing labels the height as 433 mm; the current manufacturer data uses 432 × 500 × 92 mm.
HEXAGO CM-D combines a perforated three-dimensional front with documented sound absorption and sound diffusion. The HEXAGO acoustic series was developed in cooperation with acoustic specialists from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
The manufacturer’s acoustic catalogue states Absorption Class D, αw 0.45, NRC 0.60 and SAA 0.58 for HEXAGO CM-D. The documented absorption range is 200–1000 Hz and the diffusion range is 400–3150 Hz. These values are not transferred to other HEXAGO variants or different test configurations.

The documented build-up consists of a perforated 3D front, a box made from veneered wood and wood-based materials, and a core of absorbing wool and an acoustic membrane. HEXAGO CM-D is therefore a multi-layer acoustic system rather than a solid-wood-only panel.
The current product specification lists oak, American walnut and ash, with hard-wax oil or varnish. Oak colour codes C01 to C06 are shown. The current product data uses 432 × 500 × 92 mm; the 2025 technical catalogue drawing labels the height as 433 mm.
DEKOSTYL does not use a fixed panels-per-square-metre wall rule for HEXAGO CM-D or transfer the CM-A/P-A room-size table to this product. Planning considers room geometry, reflective surfaces, use, arrangement and the intended acoustic objective.
The manufacturer lists HEXAGO CM-A plus CARO MINUS and CARO as panels that can be combined with CM-D. The product page describes simple hanging installation, while the acoustic catalogue states free-hanging mounting on screws. Wood species and finish are selected for the complete panel. Separate edge veneering is not intended for the finished HEXAGO module.
No unverified panel quantity is transferred to CM-D from the Class A calculator. Quantity is coordinated for the specific project based on room, surfaces, use and acoustic target.
For HEXAGO CM-D, the currently verified DEKOSTYL source set does not establish a dedicated room-area-to-panel-count table. The Class A CM-A/P-A calculator is therefore not transferred, and no fixed panels-per-m² wall rule is calculated.
The published acoustic values apply to the documented test and mounting configuration. Room geometry, surfaces, furniture, glazing and intended reverberation targets must be considered for the specific project.
The DEKOSTYL project team supports technical coordination. Acoustic evidence, lighting options and bespoke manufacturing are reviewed by product and project with the relevant manufacturers or partner workshops.
