MAPAO Collection: Shima, Nami, Yuki & Take – Linear 3D Wood Panels at DEKOSTYL
MAPAO. Collection
Four distinctive wooden panel designs that transform ordinary walls into emotional statements. Set your own architectural rhythm.
Four Designs. Endless Possibilities.
The MAPAO collection is designed for maximum creative freedom. The panels are available in four standard lengths (12 cm, 24 cm, 48 cm, and 96 cm) and four unique profiles (SHIMA, TAKE, YUKI, NAMI) which differ in their shape to create a subtle 3D effect. You can freely combine them to create unique, rhythmic compositions.

SHIMA
A manifesto against silent walls
TAKE
The quiet power of a wave
YUKI
Minimalism with structural discipline
NAMI
The asymmetric command of light
SHIMA
Shima is a manifesto against flat, silent walls. Its essence lies in one perfectly executed ridge—the foundation of your composition. You set the rhythm, from serene harmony to dynamic asymmetry.

TAKE
TAKE is a tribute to the quiet power of a wave. Its strength lies in the concave form—soft, flowing, and ever-changing with light, bringing harmony and deep serenity to living spaces.

YUKI
YUKI is a manifesto against randomness in minimalism. Its strength lies in two symmetrical ridges that frame light, shadow, and pure wood, bringing structural order and quiet confidence.

NAMI
NAMI is a manifesto against two-dimensional thinking. Its strength lies in a sharp, asymmetrical prism cut that turns a wall into a dynamic architectural landscape that commands attention.

The MAPAO Collection: Modular Linear Architecture in Solid Wood
Modular 3D Wall Panels Curation
The MAPAO collection represents a completely new approach to the geometric and linear design of sophisticated walls. Developed as a modular system by Form at Wood, MAPAO combines the natural liveliness and warmth of solid hardwood with precise, architectural lines. The system allows designers and interior architects to design continuous, rhythmic wall structures that visually widen or stretch the space. Each element is precisely milled, sanded, and finished in European workshop work. As the official distribution partner for Germany and Europe, DEKOSTYL presents this collection for luxurious private spaces as well as exclusive B2B projects such as hotels, conference halls, and boardrooms.
Four Profiles for Infinite Possibilities: Shima, Nami, Yuki, and Take
The modular MAPAO system is based on four unique, three-dimensional profiles that can be harmoniously combined with each one another or laid as a continuous solid pattern. The Shima profile is characterized by its gentle, rounded rods, which re-interpret a classic slat look. Nami features an extremely fine wave structure with softly flowing transitions, recalling Japanese sand gardens. Yuki reflects the asymmetric pattern of wind-blown powder snow, which unfolds a different dynamic depending on the viewing angle. Finally, Take is a homage to the organic feel and calming symmetry of bamboo stalks. Together, these four profiles offer an inexhaustible palette for tactile wall designs.
Light and Shadow Effect of the Three-Dimensional Lines
The true beauty of the MAPAO panels unfolds in the interplay with light. Incoming light rays are softly refracted at the precisely milled edges and valleys. Over the course of the day, as the position of the sun changes, or through the targeted staging with artificial light sources, the wall transforms into a living relief. The combination of warm solid wood and deep shadows gives rooms a noticeable comfort and visual depth. In addition, the parallel wood structures act as a natural diffuser that breaks sound waves, thus noticeably improving room acoustics. This makes them ideal for use in modern, open-plan living-dining areas or representative lobbies.
Ecological Excellence and Handcrafted Workshop Quality
For us, quality also means ecological responsibility. Every MAPAO panel is manufactured exclusively from FSC-certified woods such as European oak, premium ash, or American walnut. The fine timbers are finished with organic, solvent-free hard-wax oils. This open-pored finish protects the wood from within and lets it breathe, which actively contributes to a healthy and regulated room climate. For optimal planning and visualization of your project, we offer you precise CAD and BIM files of all four profiles for direct download. Installation is quick and clean by gluing them fully to the prepared wall.
